The paddle face uses a three-layer composite layup with an outer 18K TORAY T700 carbon fiber layer, a unidirectional carbon fiber layer, and an inner premium fiberglass layer.

At lower impact forces, the carbon fiber layers control the response, providing a softer feel and consistent touch. As impact force increases, the fiberglass layer contributes additional rebound, increasing ball exit speed and power on full swings.

This construction balances control on soft shots with added power at higher swing speeds.

The core uses a privately sourced carbon-black polypropylene polymer rather than standard white polypropylene. This material provides a more reactive impact response and improved durability compared to conventional polypropylene honeycomb cores.

A 10 mm honeycomb cell size is used to increase dwell time on softer strokes while delivering higher rebound and pop during aggressive counters and full swings.

My new Mystic 247 paddle performs much better than my previous paddle. When needed the power is there to return a hard hit ball or to drive the ball. The surface of the paddle allows for exceptional spin when required. I am enjoying it, and after using it about 6 weeks I am satisfied. The only thing I have noticed and others as well is when the ball hits the perimeter of the paddle it makes a different sound and the ball doesn't respond as lively. I thought maybe it was my grip on the paddle but it occurs just when the ball is made contact on the perimeter. My doubles partner also noticed the difference in sound and effect.

I was looking for a new paddle that wasn't crazy poppy, but gave a ton of spin potential. I use a very top-spin heavy grip (the western grip) so having a paddle that could help generate even more spin was what i was looking for. Also, I can generate all the power I need so all the way-too-poppy/powerful paddles just were not doing me any favors. Of course, this paddle is not a complete control paddle by any means, as it generates enough pop+power to keep matches competitive against all the Gen3 power-paddle users. Lastly, coming from using hybrid-shaped paddles exclusively, i was scared that using an elongated would cause some adjustment period with the smaller sweet spot, but i didnt feel like i was missing any shots compared to when i was using hybrid paddles, which was comforting as well. Overall, if you're in the market for a great all-court paddle that gives great spin, all for a wicked good price (and looks!) i recommend getting this paddle for anyone!

The paddle is on the lighter side for an elongated paddle. Lends itself to customizing with lead tape. Great spin and a large sweet spot. Love the feel and control at the kitchen line. Nice forgiveness for the resets and dinks. Decent power - still trying tape in different spots of the paddle. All in all, a very good paddle and falls more in the control category. The packaging is great looking and the extras included are very nice additions. Definitely worth purchasing.
